“In December 2014, after enduring months of grue “In December 2014, after enduring months of grueling treatments, I finally reached the end of my cancer battle. I was lying in a hospital bed, still weak but filled with a strange clarity. In that room, there was a small dream chart I’d created, a collage of images that symbolized the life I wanted to live once I made it out of there. One of the images was a book—a symbol of my dream to share my journey and the lessons I had learned along the way. That picture became a promise to myself: I will write a book one day. A book that would be more than just words on a page; it would be a guide for others, a way to help people face their own challenges and come out stronger on the other side. For years, that idea sat quietly in the back of my mind, waiting for the right moment. Now, with a decade of life since my last treatment, I know it’s time. Time to honor that promise. Time to reflect on everything that poker, life, and surviving cancer have taught me about resilience, mindset, and chasing what truly matters. This book is the culmination of that journey, a way to pay forward the insights and strength I’ve gained.
